When Dennis
Kucinich ran for President in 2008 he had a new bride that he picked out on his own to fill the position of "first lady". During the 2004 election, however, when he was single, our democratic match-making service helped set him up with a potential running mate. Here are the details:

Contest Timeline:
11/05/03 - Congressman Kucinich responds to a First Lady question at the Democratic Presidential debate:
"As a
bachelor, I get a chance to fantasize about my First Lady.
And you know maybe Fox will want to sponsor it as a national
contest or something. . . . Partnerships are imperative to
making anything happening in the world. And I certainly want a
dynamic, out-spoken woman who is fearless in her desire for
peace in the world and for universal single-payer health care
and a full employment economy. If you're out there call
me."
11/10/03 - PoliticsNH.com announces a contest to help
Kucinich find his First Lady and LiberalHearts.com agrees to set up the website and fly the winner in for a dinner date with Congressman Kucinich.
11/13/03 - Kucinich Accepts offer: "I am
very flattered . . . I want to thank each and every one of the women who have called, written, emailed or contacted the
website. I look forward to our meeting."

Letterman, Jay Leno, Australia, France and beyond.

New Hampshire for breakfast with Dennis. They
contemplated the future of America and each other for about an hour, then exchanged phone numbers. Word is, her boyfriend back home proposed 2 weeks later. So we'll still take the credit for another LiberalHearts success story! |
